About the Director
Brooke Berman is a playwright, screenwriter and author. Her plays have
been produced Off Broadway at The Second Stage, Primary Stages, The
Play Company, and WET; and regionally at Steppenwolf Theatre Company
and Theatre 7 in Chicago. Her work has been developed at numerous
places including Williamstown Theater Festival, The O'Neill, MCC
Theater, The Royal Court Theatre in London, The Royal National
Theatre's Studio in London, New York Stage and Film and New Dramatists. Her screenwriting
credits include the adaptation of her play "Smashing" for Natalie
Portman, Major Minor Details for Mark Gordon, and Three Wishes for Red Crown. She
attended The Juilliard School and Barnard College. Her memoir No Place Like Home was published by Random House in 2010. She wrote and directed Uggs For Gaza, which premiered at the Aspen International Shorts Fest where it won Audience Special Recognition. Ramnona is her debut feature-length film.
