Mary and Katherine met on a study abroad program in the UK over ten years ago. Flash forward years later and they were both living in Chicago, both involved in the theatre and comedy scenes. Their first collaboration was co-producing and acting in the award-winning short film "Cool for Five Seconds", currently streaming on Omeleto with over 115K views.

"Fern" marks their first time working together as co-writers and directors. Individually, they are both active in the LA and Chicago comedy communities, have both directed multiple short films and starred in feature films, commercials and regional theatre.
